Hardwood Whistles & Fipple Flutes

The whistle is the quintessential fipple flute of traditional Irish music. Alongside the Uilleann pipes and the bodhrán, it forms the core of Celtic folk expression. While historically made from rolled sheet metal (tin whistle), I handcraft them in dense hardwoods—primarily African blackwood (granadillo) and Spanish boxwood—which provide a warm, rich, brilliant acoustic timbre and high volume. Available in high keys (D, C, F, G, A, Bb) and low keys (Low D, Low C), all fitted with precision brass tuning slides.
