Albogues - Basque Alboka

Originating in the Basque Country, the Alboka consists of two parallel cane pipes held within a carved wooden yoke (iugo), fitted with single cane reeds inside a horn mouth-cap and a resonant horn bell. Tuned in the scale of A major, played with unbroken circular breathing for a continuous, bagpipe-like bagless drone and melody.
